Gogo Isolezwe (they/ them) | sangoma, gender anarchist and pawerent queering life.
i found freedoms in the fluidity of amanzi
waters seeped through the cracks of a performed gender (being)--
rejecting that only in only ‘he/she’ we can be
i dreamt of waters that surrounded & followed me to the depths of my subconscious
dreams are the well I draw strength and sight from
my ancestors hand-crafted my gifting & headhunted a realm for healing
water surrounds me, galeforce winds guide me
i am them, and we heal through my healing
the wave came and oiled open the doors of transition,
& in the wind, they sound applause
amadlozi fondly see me as they and them
their love, the overflows the rivers of virtue kindness and trust
lending myself to the superpower of true self gifts me with the joys of holistic being
the drum heart beats as love-speak—a queering love language.
existing as an exchange of energies.
tethering the waves of past present and future seeing
in the motions of the ocean, we collectively gather the glitters of self that binary coerced us into leaving behind
queer as the vast water droplets gathered in the pacific.
i pacify no more, the extent to which I deserve to be seen
sitting with self holds grace for all that is me -- in all of my queer fluidity
imagine being queer & dlozical
transcending gender time and space
Questions to ponder
How can dreaming be a portal for foresight?
How is gender performed in schools and communities?
